The Voluntary Transport Scheme provides a service for people who experience permanent or temporary mobility difficulties using public transport as a result of age, illness, disability, location, geographical or social isolation and who have no other means of transport available to them. There is no age restriction but children under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Volunteer Drivers
The transport scheme is operated by volunteer drivers who offer their services and cars freely for the enefit of the clients and without them the scheme cannot run. Drivers receive no pay for their time but are reimbused for their fuel costs.
If you are interested – have a car, enjoy driving and meeting people, why not consider driving for the Gedling CVS Transport Scheme?
