The Pride of Gedling Awards, hosted by Gedling Borough Council in conjunction with the Nottingham Post, recognise and celebrate the outstanding work of people living in Gedling borough, especially those who make a positive contribution to our communities. Gedling CVS was lucky enough to be involved with the Awards ceremony, held recently, when we were invited to reveal the overall winner of the Pam Clipsham Awards, originally held in October 2014.
Do you think you are Sir Steve Redgrave or Matthew Pinsent? Want to get fit in February or just want to try something new? Why not take on the indoor rowing challenge with Nottinghamshire Hospice? Each team will consist of 6 rowers and your challenge, if you wish to accept, is to row the distance from Nottingham to Derby, 24,000 meters, as quickly as possible. The team to complete the challenge in the quickest time will be the Nottinghamshire Hospice Rowing winners.
