Election Implications for the voluntary sector

NCVO logoThe National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) has written about the implications for the voluntary sector in these post election days - the difference not having  the expected coalition could make; a look at what people from the voluntary sector have been elected to Parliament; how the lobbying act might be affected and how the manifest commitment to allow three days paid leave a year from big companies and public bodies (to volunteer) is a fantastic opportunity for the sector.  To see all the details go to:

Nspcc logoYour time can make a big difference for children.  Volunteer for ChildLine in Nottingham.  We believe every child has the right to be happy and safe.  So when a child feels there’s nowhere else to turn, they can talk to us.  ChildLine offers a confidential phone and online counseling service for children and young people and our volunteer counselors provide support, comfort and advice to anyone who’s made contact.
